# 💻 Local Development
This page describes how to set up the **BMC TPL Code All around** extension locally on your machine, compile the source code, and test your own modifications.

## 🛠️ Prerequisites
Before you start, make sure the following tools are installed on your system:
- **Node.js** (including npm)
- **Visual Studio Code**
- **Git**
- *(Optional, but recommended)* `vsce` for building `.vsix` packages (`npm install -g @vscode/vsce`)
